Western Student Recreation Centre (WSRC) Summer 2022 Details
Please note this information may be subject to change in accordance with Provincial Guidelines and MLHU Recommendations. Anyone entering our facilities during the summer term must be fully vaccinated or have proof of a medical exemption.
Effective June 29, we will no longer be requiring our staff or members to mask in the Western Student Recreation Centre. We would ask that individuals still self-monitor for symptoms, wash hands frequently, and wipe down machines after using. We will be changing the signage in our facility to reflect these changes. Western Campus Recreation is excited to share important details related to Western Student Recreation Centre (WSRC) programs and services offerings for the upcoming Summer 2022 term.
Hours of Operations (May 1 – August 28, 2022)* will be as follows:
Monday - Friday: 6:30 AM - 8:00PM
Saturday - Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM*closed statutory holidays and August 29 – September 2, 2022 for staff training
*Dates and times are subject to changeWe are thrilled to finally be able to welcome back Western staff, faculty, alumni and external community members starting May 1. Those interested can purchase a summer term-long Campus Recreation membership at the WSRC desk (sales start May 1) for $125 (taxes included) with towel service available for $50 (taxes included). Recreation parking passes are not available at this time.
Students who qualify for the Spring/Summer ancillary fee membership will continue to have full access to the WSRC. Students not taking summer courses that include the ancillary fee membership, are also welcome to purchase the summer membership. Membership details beginning Fall 2022 will be announced later in the summer.
General changerooms will be available with access to showers and day-use lockers only. Locker sales will resume in September. Equipment loans (basketballs, volleyballs, etc.) will be available at the WSRC Membership Services Desk. We strictly ask that you do not bring bags into our fitness and activity spaces.
Intramural Sports will be offering several outdoor programs including Beach Volleyball, Soccer (7v7 and 11v11), Softball (Slo-Pitch and 3-Pitch), Spikeball and Ultimate Frisbee. Back by popular demand, our Virtual Learn to Run program is returning! Registration is now open until May 13, 2022.
